Dirk Shares Research at the ECS Meeting
Dirk participated in the 245th meeting of The Electrochemical Society (ECS) held in San Francisco, CA, from May 26th to May 30th, 2024. This international conference serves as a platform for scientists, engineers, and researchers from academia, industry, and government to share their latest findings and engage in discussions on a wide range of electrochemistry and solid-state science topics.
Dirk presented two thought-provoking talks:
- Towards understanding the competition of electron and energy transfer in “molecular” nanographenes: This presentation explored the mechanisms of electron and energy transfer within nanographene structures, contributing to the development of nanographene-based solar energy technologies.
- Sensitized Singlet Fission in Pentacene-Subphthalocyanine Conjugates: Dirk’s second talk investigated the potential of singlet fission in new material combinations, a process essential for improving the efficiency of solar cells.
