We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Dirk M. Guldi, Chair of Physical Chemistry I at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg, recently embarked on a successful lecture tour in Hong Kong. His tour involved prestigious engagements at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong University. During his visit, Prof. Dr. Guldi delivered a series of insightful lectures on the fascinating topic of “Carrier Multiplication: Switching Singlet Fission Through Molecular Design of Pentacene Dimers – 2for1.” His talks highlighted groundbreaking research into the molecular engineering of pentacene dimers to enhance singlet fission processes, which holds significant potential for advancing solar energy conversion technologies. The lectures were well-received, sparking lively discussions and potential collaborations with leading researchers in the field. Prof. Dr. Guldi’s work continues to underscore the Chair of Physical Chemistry I’s commitment to pioneering research and international academic exchange. We congratulate Prof. Dr. Guldi on the success of his lecture tour and look forward to future international engagements.
