Alex studied pharmacy here in Erlangen and started his PhD in August 2014. The intention behind his project is to optimize the oral bioavailability of hardly soluble active pharmaceutical ingredients.  He is focused on spray drying from organic solvents to create amorphous solid dispersions. This should result in an improved solubility and an inhibition of the recrystallization behavior.
