Nina Kirchgässler graduated from the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf with a Master’s in Biochemistry in 2020. She performed her Master’s Thesis in the Span group on functional analyses of molecular crowding effects on the RNA-cleaving 10-23 DNAzyme. Afterwards, in November 2020, Nina started her doctoral position in the Span Group in Duesseldorf focussing on RNA-cleaving DNAzymes as potential approaches against viral infections.
